What did Wikipedia bring me?
Hey, friends! Today, I want to chat with you about my amazing discoveries on Wikipedia. Did you know that Wikipedia is like a supermarket for knowledge; it has everything, and I'm always welcome to browse it.
Imagine a library that never closes, filled with books of all kinds. This is how Wikipedia feels to me. Do you want to learn about the secrets of the universe, ancient stories, or the gossip behind movies? Just click the mouse, and you'll find anything. It's hard to believe how easily so much knowledge can be obtained.
The best part of Wikipedia is that it taught me things not found in textbooks. For example, I've recently become fascinated with various art movements, including Impressionism, Surrealism, and Cubism. Doesn't that sound rather upscale? I also discovered some super cool artists, who have now become my idols. It feels like there's a private guide taking me to explore any field I want to know.
Wikipedia also taught me how to do research well. When looking for resources, I won't finish reading just one article. I will follow the link to check the references and compare different statements. This way, I became better at thinking and analyzing. Also, not all information is reliable and needs to be verified. This skill is useful whether you're doing homework or making decisions on a regular basis.
Browsing Wikipedia often brings surprises. Sometimes I wanted to check something, but ended up learning something completely different. For example, I originally wanted to learn about space exploration, but ended up reading about the history of rockets and then learning how rockets are propelled. Before I knew it, I developed a strong interest in a field that I had never been interested in before. Wikipedia has this magic, making you want to learn more and more.
Wikipedia also broadened my horizons. I can learn about cultures, traditions, and ways of life around the world. Just like traveling from home, I learned about Indian festivals, African music, and the stories of people from different countries. This makes me more inclusive and understanding of the world's diversity.
Finally, Wikipedia sparked my creativity. I often find some interesting topics to explore further. Sometimes, I even come up with some small projects or stories of my own based on what I read. It's like a creative factory, always brimming with new ideas waiting for me to discover.
Overall, Wikipedia is a treasure trove for me. It helped me learn new knowledge, enhance my skills, and discover new interests. Here, I can indulge my curiosity and broaden my horizons. I made several edits to the Wikipedia page for 'Daegu'.  Daegu, located in the southeastern part of South Korea, is the third-largest urban area in the country, following Seoul and Busan.  1. Summarize in my own words of materials. The book is primarily about the openness of Wikipedia. Openness means that anyone can participate in the creation and editing of articles without any qualifications. Openness can be a double-edged sword. While it means that you can edit without having expert knowledge of a topic, it also means that you can participate even if you have expert knowledge. For experts, articles written by non-experts can come across as inaccurate knowledge, which can anger experts. This anger can also be a catalyst for Wikipedia to continue to improve. However, articles edited only by non-experts can cause misunderstandings and convey incorrect information, so openness can be considered a double-edged sword.
