Week 1. My Recent Wikipedia Edits - Jeong seolah (정설아)
I made several edits to the Wikipedia page for 'Daegu'.
Daegu, located in the southeastern part of South Korea, is the third-largest urban area in the country, following Seoul and Busan. With a population exceeding 2.3 million, it is the fourth-largest metropolitan city in South Korea and the second-largest in the Yeongnam region after Busan. Often referred to together with the surrounding North Gyeongsang Province as Daegu-Gyeongbuk, this region is home to over 5 million residents. Known for its rich history and vibrant economy, Daegu stands as a key player in South Korea's cultural and industrial landscape.
Below is a summary of the changes I contributed.
1) Summarize and link

2) Any new, interesting, or unusual items learned
One particularly fascinating aspect of Daegu's early history is the discovery of Dalgubeol, the ancient chiefdom or walled-town polity that existed during the Proto–Three Kingdoms period. According to historical records, Dalgubeol eventually became part of the Silla kingdom by the fifth century. What makes this particularly intriguing is that the remnants of the ancient walls still exist today, and archaeological excavations in the current Dalseong Park have uncovered relics from this period. The fact that such an ancient, organized society existed in Daegu is not only a reflection of the area’s historical significance but also highlights how Daegu was already a center of political and cultural activity long before it became a major part of the Silla kingdom.
3) Identify at least one question, concern, or discussion angle
There is a concern about whether the small grammatical and phrasing changes I made actually improve the clarity and readability of the text, and how important these changes are in the context of collaborative platforms like Wikipedia.
I have also adjust a lot of minor edit and some word changes to correct the grammar and I actually have the same question as you! Like is these small edit have an impact on the article that have so much context but from my perspective I think that even though what we do is not like adding a sub topic to articles just fix come minor grammar. However in this way we a part of small changes to make the article better!
