Week2.My Wikipedia Edit-gaoxiaoxia(고샤오샤)

Summarize

This week, I edited Wikipedia about some things in my hometown.
link link2.link3I modified some parts that were not updated in time and added some references.

Interesting Point:

I found that a lot of information about my hometown on Wikipedia is not only no other language, but even the Chinese information is very outdated. For example, a large number of primary and secondary schools have changed their names in 2023, but as of today 2025, the relevant information on Wikipedia has not been updated. Some schools have moved to new locations in 2020 and set up junior high schools, but Wikipedia has not yet stated this. This may be very misleading to those who want to know this information
So I thought about the reason for this carefully. It may be because my hometown is relatively undeveloped, and many people don’t even know what Wikipedia is. So they rarely take the initiative to edit and update Wikipedia. For those who can edit Wikipedia, my hometown is a less well-known place, so they will not take the initiative to understand and edit it.

Question:

How can we ensure that information on Wikipedia is up to date to avoid misleading others? Especially for lesser-known articles and content
