1.Summary

  Through studying Wikipedia, I gained a deeper understanding of its unique open cooperation model and its profound significance. Since its inception in 2001, Wikipedia has allowed anyone to participate in editing and contributing content. This open collaboration model not only transforms Wikipedia into an information platform but also shapes a global cooperative community. Although Wikipedia has achieved significant success in promoting knowledge sharing, it also faces a range of challenges such as content accuracy, management mechanisms, and copyright protection. It is these challenges that have provided Wikipedia with valuable experience and insights for cooperation models in other fields.


2. Interesting Point

Wikipedia's open collaboration model has not only achieved significant success in information sharing but has also provided valuable experience for other fields. Through this collaborative model, collective wisdom can be fully unleashed, significantly enhancing work efficiency and problem-solving abilities. This model breaks away from traditional hierarchical structures, promoting the integration of different backgrounds and perspectives, and fostering more diverse ideas and innovation.


3.Discussion

The open collaboration model on Wikipedia has been successful, but is it applicable to other fields as well?

    I think the answer is yes, the open collaboration model has proven effective on Wikipedia and can work in other areas too. For example, open-source software projects, citizen science initiatives, and even some educational platforms successfully use this model. However, its success depends on having clear guidelines and good community management tailored to each field.

    I think Wikipedia's open collaboration model is sufficiently applicable to other fields. Collaboration is an important area for us, and through this, our lives can be further developed. You can be better if you use this field in various fields, such as society, science, and education. And in order to use the open collaboration model, you need to create and apply appropriate rules for each field so that there are no problems.

I made several edits to the Wikipedia page for 'Daegu'.  Daegu, located in the southeastern part of South Korea, is the third-largest urban area in the country, following Seoul and Busan.  1. Summarize in my own words of materials. The book is primarily about the openness of Wikipedia. Openness means that anyone can participate in the creation and editing of articles without any qualifications. Openness can be a double-edged sword. While it means that you can edit without having expert knowledge of a topic, it also means that you can participate even if you have expert knowledge. For experts, articles written by non-experts can come across as inaccurate knowledge, which can anger experts. This anger can also be a catalyst for Wikipedia to continue to improve. However, articles edited only by non-experts can cause misunderstandings and convey incorrect information, so openness can be considered a double-edged sword.
