Edit Wikipedia and initially translate articles in the Sandbox---YAN JINJIN(염금금)

 Summary

  This week we mainly learned in class how to edit Wikipedia, add citations, and delete content.What impressed me most was the content deletion. If you find that the content in an article is wrong or does not meet Wikipedia's standards, you can edit it and delete it. However, this is not to delete anything at will. You need to make sure that the content you delete is inaccurate, unsourced, or irrelevant to the topic. When deleting, be sure to follow the neutrality principle of Wikipedia and avoid deleting controversial content.

Interesting  points

An interesting point is that Wikipedia is not only a platform for the dissemination of knowledge, but also a "cooperative project" that everyone can participate in. Each user's edit may affect thousands of readers, and each small modification may become a turning point for important information. In addition, Wikipedia provides a "sandbox" function that allows users to modify and translate without affecting the official entries. Through the sandbox, you can translate an article from other language versions into your language and edit it.

Discussion 

If everyone can edit content at will, how can we ensure the accuracy of information?
Is it possible that one day artificial intelligence can automatically edit Wikipedia and even make better suggestions for changes?

    When everyone can edit content at will, it is difficult to guarantee the accuracy of information.  1. Summarize in my own words of materials. The book is primarily about the openness of Wikipedia. Openness means that anyone can participate in the creation and editing of articles without any qualifications. Openness can be a double-edged sword.
