As someone who has long depended on Wikipedia for knowledge, I have gradually transitioned from being a simple reader to an active contributor in editing. The openness and transparency of Wikipedia have deeply impressed upon me that knowledge is not merely something to be passively absorbed; rather, it is a process of continual refinement and sharing. Every edit and discussion reminds me of the collective wisdom and power that underpins this global repository of information.

Interesting Points

What strikes me most is that Wikipedia is not just a static store of information, but a vibrant, ever-evolving community. From late-night editing discussions to the strict formatting reviews by automated bots, every aspect of the process reveals the beauty of collaboration and discipline. I enjoy noticing the seemingly trivial details—how balance is sought amid controversies and how rational debates lead to more objective and accurate content.

1. Summary This week, I participated in the editing of the Wikipedia entry "Wenchuan Earthquake". The earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008, which is one of the most serious natural disasters in China in recent years. By consulting official reports, academic literature and various documentary materials, I supplemented and corrected some of the content in the entry, especially adding more information on the background of the earthquake, rescue operations and subsequent reconstruction. 2. Interesting points During the editing process, I found interesting differences between public memory and documented records.
