Week 5 - Fatima Paulina Lopez Diaz

This week, I decided to translate one article from Spanish to English for my Wiki edits. At first, I was a bit hesitant about the topic. Still, I wanted to make sure I was well informed about, so I made it about the war that is currently going on in the North of Mexico.

Because it's a social phenomenon that is still going on it was a bit of a challenge to find the correct citations on English, being a sensitive topic I made an extra effort not letting  my personal opinion influence the sources I choose, making it as impartial as possible.

What I learned in this activity is next time I'm translating a Wikipedia article I won't be doing it of a subject I find close to my life.

Week9-----WikipediaEdit--HE ZIXUAN

1. Summary This week, I participated in the editing of the Wikipedia entry "Wenchuan Earthquake". The earthquake occurred on May 12, 2008, which is one of the most serious natural disasters in China in recent years. By consulting official reports, academic literature and various documentary materials, I supplemented and corrected some of the content in the entry, especially adding more information on the background of the earthquake, rescue operations and subsequent reconstruction. 2. Interesting points During the editing process, I found interesting differences between public memory and documented records.
