WEEK1:My Wikipedia Edit----MUYE(모엽)

This week, through the course and hands-on work, I have gained a deeper understanding of how Wikipedia works. From job requirements to operation, the entire process can be both challenging and rewarding.
At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher explained in detail the grading criteria for Wikipedia assignments, which made me realize the rigor of this assignment. Translation tasks require that each paragraph must be backed by reliable references, which is very different from my previous simple understanding of Wikipedia that "everyone can edit". The word count requirement for an original task may not seem high, but when you actually get started, you realize that finding the right topic and ensuring the quality of the content is not an easy task. The phased deadlines forced me to plan ahead of time, which really helped to avoid end-of-term surprises.
I first experienced the sandbox feature. When I tried to use the visual editor on my sandbox page, I found that the interface was more user-friendly than I expected, but the requirements for filling in the reference template were very strict. The author and release date were omitted during the first use, and the specification was completed after repeatedly consulting the help documentation. This process made me realize that wiki editing is like a "public exam", and every detail is scrutinized by other users.
After completing the student training module, I had a systematic understanding of how Wikipedia works. Of particular note is the principle of "neutral opinion" in the Five Pillars, which requires editors to abandon subjective evaluations. Because my translation was deleted because it didn't follow this principle, I learned that I should communicate on the talk page first, rather than just reverting to other people's edits. Eventually, my translation passed the review and was left behind.
