Week15 -- My Wikipedia Edits -- LIU ZIYE

 1) Summary of Content

I edited the English Wikipedia article for Bangui M'Poko International Airport, the main international airport of the Central African Republic. Despite being an international airport, the article had very little content. I added basic information such as flight operations, and infrastructure details to help improve its completeness and relevance.

2) Interesting Discovery
One thing I found particularly challenging—but also interesting—was the language barrier in research. As a native Chinese speaker, my instinct was to search for information in Chinese, but most of the results were also in Chinese and not suitable for citing in the English Wikipedia. It took me a long time to find credible English-language sources. Eventually, I was able to locate official aviation statistics and English news articles, which I then used to improve the article.

3) Questions & Reflections
This experience made me realize how language can limit access to information, especially when editing English articles about less globally prominent regions. It also reminded me of the importance of using reliable, verifiable, and appropriately sourced information, even if it takes extra time to find.
